This Easter we encourage chocolate lovers around Australia to embrace sustainability and enjoy our ethically sourced Easter collection.
In 2014 Haigh’s Chocolates was the first Australian-owned bean-to-bar chocolate manufacturer to be UTZ certified and today we are proud to make an Easter range that is created from 100% UTZ certified cocoa beans.
Using high quality ingredients in our chocolate making extends to the roasting of ethically and sustainably farmed cocoa beans from some of the best cocoa plantations around the world into 100 tonnes of fresh chocolate for this Easter.
UTZ is an internationally recognised certification that puts Haigh's at the forefront of a sustainable production program that confirms that our beans come from growers who practice sustainable farming. This is good news for our customers. They know that they are enjoying delicious chocolate and doing the right thing by cocoa farmers and their families in emerging economies.
Our 2020 collection titled Easter Parade includes a wide selection of classic Easter gifts and novelties and features eight different sized chocolate eggs that have been carefully handmade and hand-wrapped in quality, bright coloured foils that can be recycled.
This year also sees the introduction of the new 70% Cocoa Dark Chocolate Bilby. Haigh’s has made more than 950,000 chocolate bilbies for Easter since 1993 with part proceeds from sales donated to the Foundation for Rabbit Free Australia (RFA) and its work to protect the environment for both indigenous biodiversity and animal food production, including the bilby, an endangered native marsupial.
